  Trying to Believe in Love

  i am new to this, and any form of online chat, but reading some of your postings inspired me to write.

  i am even unsure how to check responses, but hopefully there will be some and i will learn.. i am completely torn.

  i have met the man of my dreams, and was told the other day that we would not work because he was looking to the future and could not imagine putting up a christmas tree and lights in his home.. when we met, i knew he was raised a witness, but he assured me he had not been to meetings in 8 years because he did not "feel it".

  Non-JW dating a JW? (sorry for it again!)

  this post is again about the subject of a non-jw dating a jw.

  however, i would first like to say that i am new to this forum and have really appreciated all the comments that have helped me better understand the problems with this kind of relationship.

  Crisis of Conscious

  i have read on here over and over how great crisis of conscious is, but i can't find it anywhere.

  i have tried to order it from both hastings and barnes & nobel, but neither of them can get it.

  they have tried to order it for six weeks now with no luck.

  Work to be saved???

  i was just wondering if jw's actually believe that they are not yet already saved but have to do work for jehovah to earn this?

  eg doorknocking and so fourth.

  this is a question that keeps bugging me, if a non-jw were charming or good looking enough would the jw have a relationship with that non-jw?

  or would the jw think it was a test and stick to his or her guns and still reject that person.

  newbie with a cliche post

  i like many young non-jws i have meet a jw and fell in love,but i think what me different from the rest is i feel special.

  i feel like i have been waiting like this all life from the time i was a kid to know, not a very good description, but i do feel that i a situation where i could win her, i feel that the starts are aligned for this.

  i know that there are 5 weekly meetings, but can anybody describe them, and also the district assembly or something like takes place a couple times a year ?

  When you love something you can't have

  here's a little post for those who wonder: can i have a relationship with a jw?

  firstly don't just read my story and accept it as gospel as this is only one person's story, but i'm sure it's a common one.

  this all started a few months ago when i started a relationship with a fellow workmate, lets just call her girl.

  My Girlfriend's a JW, but I am not, What to do???

  just wondering if anyone can help, so heres a little insight into the situation.. we've been friens for ages but she always told me we could be nothing more she said "theres stuff you dont know about me & you wouldnt understand" but one night i kinda hinted that i knew and she fessed up not only bout being a jw but also bout how she felt only thing is she says its not gonna work, but she wants it to work she wants me to convert and i want her to leave the orgainization.

  her mothers been a witness for ten years but her father is not.

  also she hasnt paid much attention to it either till a few months ago and shes starting to get into it now.
